“Underneath The Red Light” | Amyl and The Sniffers in Vegas

Amyl and The Sniffers made their way into the Las Vegas desert for the first time on Sunday, opening up for King Gizzard at the Virgin Hotels LV Lawn. The Melbourne-based band had just tackled their first week of Coachella and were ready to deliver another wild set, off the Las Vegas Strip.

Amyl and The Sniffers started the night with “GFY” from their self-titled album (2019), instantly elevating the energy in the outdoor venue. The quartet followed it with “Guided by Angels” which got all those attending even rowdier. As they played one song after another, the band’s energy never waned, and neither did the crowd’s!

There was never a dull moment during the set. Lead vocalist Amy Taylor danced and jumped across the stage, interacting with both the crowd and her bandmates. She would reach out and extend her mic for everyone to sing along, which they did to nearly every song. During “Security” Amy showcased her iconic dance moves as the crowd cheered her on.

After “Security”, the band played more songs from their latest album Comfort to Me (2021). They played “Knifey,” “Don’t Need a C*nt (Like You to Love Me),” and “Laughing.”

Amyl and The Sniffers ended their set too soon with “Hertz.” The crowd went wild as the band gave it their all! Taylor wrapped up the night by screaming the last lines of the song, “I want you to love me. Do you love me?” and to that, I’d say yes, we really do.

If you’re at Coachella this weekend or going to Shaky Knees at the end of this month, make sure you hit up Amyl and The Sniffers’s set. You can also catch them on tour across the States and Europe this year!
